Stay Dry Western Style
Muck Boots are the perfect wet weather boot – comfortable, warm, light weight and will stay on when it gets really deep! Muck boots come in many different styles and heights. I love the “Garden Shoe” to slip on for every day chores when it is damp out. The Mid-tack is my pick for the deep stuff. They have styles with heels for riding as well. If you don’t have a pair – it is time to get one – they last forever!
Outback Packable Rain Coats come in both long and short lengths and are lightweight, breathable. These jackets are perfect for dress or to ride in and are can be monogrammed for awards. Turn them inside out into the self-contained backpack to carry with you – perfect to take on a cruise or pack behind your saddle on a trail ride. Keep one in your trailer just in case a Kansas thunderstorm pops up! Outback also makes rain pants.
Roy Frey Western also carries the Australian style oilskin dusters, liners, conditioner and hats.
Don’t forget to get a plastic hat cover to keep in your glove compartment to slip on your felt hat in case it starts to rain. If you do get your felt hat wet, just let it dry and bring it in to Mike and Dewayne to clean and reshape. Don’t do anything while it is wet to damage the fibers.
